Description

This is not your standard Mirage. Great care has been taken to set this boat up for serious trips up and down the coast. It is absolutely watertight and comes with many customized improvements. Key features and inclusions: • Kevlar • Double-taped seam • Kayak compass • Small cockpit (cockpit wall has been moved back to allow for larger front hatch with more storage, and simultaneously less water in a flooded cockpit) • Titanium rods (where other boats have screws) – guaranteed no rust • Flush rudder (=much easier to handle on dry land than large rudder) • Knee/thigh brace on cockpit rim • Back rest • Rubber hatch covers (not those neoprene-&-fiberglass covers that always leak water) • Bow deck shock cords • Full length perimeter line (not only bow and stern but also along the cockpit) • Sail fittings • Sail that can be fully operated from within the cockpit • Fittings for tow rope attachment • Tow rope and storage bag • Fittings and bag for spare paddle • Paddle lead • Bilge pump fitted (but currently no battery as I stopped using it; bilge pump not recently tested; as all the fittings are in place, it could easily be replaced) • Manual bilge pump included • Helicopter tape in places that are prone to scratching (e.g., just in front of cockpit where items are stored under elastics, tow rope area, along the length of front keel line) • Modified front tow point that allows towing without scratching the boat • Always kept in the garage (when not in use) Further inclusions if wanted: • Paddle (Mako Carbon Racing) • Reed Spray Skirt • Rhino Kayak Racks for car (incl. straps) • Kokatat PFD incl.
